Governor’s baseball dinner evokes St. Petersburg’s glorious spring training history

It was an evening of great optimism and celebration as Florida Gov. Charlie Crist marked the start of Grapefruit League games with the governor’s baseball dinner on Tuesday evening. It’s a tradition that dates back to the 1920s and it was fittingly held in St. Petersburg, the most historic of all spring training cities. Read the posting here at boston.com.
